I Heart Faces weekly photo contest

I have so little time.  I'm working all day, picking up kids here, dropping them off there, cooking dinner, Zumba class and when I can get it, a portrait session. I do all of this yet try to keep a cool head and demeanor.  Although I know this was not the safest move I've ever made, I took this with my "Crackberry" while literally going 80 mph on the interstate. (I was the only one in danger at the time as there was not a soul anywhere near me at the time & I was on a straight away...no lectures please, I know it was stupid).  The reflection of my hands on the steering wheel is a reflection of my life; run, run, run!!  My self portrait says it all!

What a fabulous family!

Pat hired me to take pictures at her grandson's birthday party.  Pat's 5 grandchildren were going to be at the same place at the same time and she wanted some photos of all of them together.  Well.........let me tell you this was not an easy task.  The party was at a park and not everyone wanted to cooperate as can be expected. They were busy playing and wanted no business of this photo shoot.  I noticed Pat becoming discouraged so I decided that I would just hang out at the party the entire time and take photos.  I told her we may not get them all together but I'd get some great pictures of them playing, eating birthday cake, etc.  Pat originally wanted pics of them before the pizza and cake, but I think some blue icing on the face makes for an adorable photo.

The entire family was so nice.  And, as a result of just doing "my thing" instead of doing the arranged photo, I was asked to come back when this precious little girl in the last photo turns 1.  I can't wait!

Ms Lisa's Sexy Shoot

Lisa came to me wanting to do some extra special photos for her husband of 25 years.  I thought that after all those years that was pretty cool that she still wanted to literally "put it out there" for him.  She and I went back & forth for weeks figuring out what would be a good time for the shoot and we had to cancel a couple of times because Lisa's husband works out of town, but kept showing up unexpectedly.  Darn...I didn't think we were ever going to get these pics done.  Plus, she kept asking me what she should wear, do, etc.  I assured her that I wanted her to be at ease so I'd throw some ideas her way and she'd have the ultimate approval or not.  She kept saying she would only do this since I was taking the pictures and because she trusts me, but I still think she was a little nervous.  Well, let me tell you....the nerves quickly dissipated and we got some fabulous shots.  Of course, it doesn't hurt if you look like Lisa.

And my favorite!!!!

I found out later that her husband LOVED the photos!  Good job Liza!
