What a fabulous family!

The entire family was so nice. And, as a result of just doing "my thing" instead of doing the arranged photo, I was asked to come back when this precious little girl in the last photo turns 1. I can't wait!
Ms Lisa's Sexy Shoot
Lisa came to me wanting to do some extra special photos for her husband of 25 years. I thought that after all those years that was pretty cool that she still wanted to literally "put it out there" for him. She and I went back & forth for weeks figuring out what would be a good time for the shoot and we had to cancel a couple of times because Lisa's husband works out of town, but kept showing up unexpectedly. Darn...I didn't think we were ever going to get these pics done. Plus, she kept asking me what she should wear, do, etc. I assured her that I wanted her to be at ease so I'd throw some ideas her way and she'd have the ultimate approval or not. She kept saying she would only do this since I was taking the pictures and because she trusts me, but I still think she was a little nervous. Well, let me tell you....the nerves quickly dissipated and we got some fabulous shots. Of course, it doesn't hurt if you look like Lisa.
And my favorite!!!!
I found out later that her husband LOVED the photos! Good job Liza!
Maelynn & Tick Tack
This is why I love what I do so much. How many people get to stand in a beautiful field on a sunny day and take pictures of a stunning red haired girl on horseback? Especially when the girl has such the passion for her horses as Maelynn. I've know her since she was a little girl, but I've never seen her as happy as she is when's she's riding. I think you'll see what I mean:
You can only see the smile on her face, but it conveys so much.
Love it.
My fave...the sweetest. And, I think we got every beautiful freckle Maemae!
The best people I know........
John & Caryl are friends I've known for oh, say, 15 or so years. Besides my children, they are the lights of my life and are always so encouraging and willing to help out when they can. As far as friends go, they are the top of the top notch for sure! As Maddie would say, Caryl is my BFF and like a sister to me. On their anniversary I wanted to get some candid shots of them being "them". Caryl wanted to know how she should prepare or what she should do. All I told her was to choose a location and for she and John just to be themselves. I'm more interested in capturing their dynamic and that look they so often give each other. It's difficult to explain, but it's a look that says she completely adores him and vice versa.
Mission accomplished. :) Love you guys!
(oh yeah...by the way, they are the ones in the photo at the top of my blog)
Wow...Where to start?
Well, let's start with my children. I've always loved taking pictures of them; what mom doesn't? Ben is 18 years old and just graduated high school. I had just gotten a new camera and wanted to test it out. I bribed my son with lunch out if he'd pose for some pictures. Much to his dismay, he agreed. However, much to my delight they came out great. He's quite the photogenic one, but you can tell by some of his expressions he was not at all happy to be there. We took these in Memorial Gardens in Concord. It's always a beautiful place, but the flowers in spring will just blow you away. It was a gorgeous backdrop for
my handsome son. In the end, I think he was happy with the results too!

Ah yes...the tortured soul. There was no escaping!!
Now Madeline, my 14 year old daughter....there's a different story! She love's being my test model and she does it well. Oh yeah, you'll see her best friend Kira in several of my pictures as well. I'm just wondering how I got such photogenic children when I am so "un"?
See what I mean? Beautiful.
